Performance and Strategy
What we do
The Performance and Strategy team is a key partner in advancing King County’s vision of a results-driven, equitable, and accountable government. As part of the Office of Performance, Strategy and Budget, we focus on implementing and continuously improving the County’s performance management system to ensure strategic priorities translate into measurable outcomes.
We focus on:
- Planning and monitoring, including the development of annual priority plans and reviews of agency operations
- Performance measurement and management, with a focus on using data and evidence to solve problems and drive results
- Coordinating countywide deployments to ensure County agencies have the tools and information to implement new programs and initiatives
- Performance reporting to promote transparency and accountability
- Management system improvements, including data integration and equity-centered practices
- Advancing and embedding equity in County processes and decision-making
- Project management for high-impact initiatives
- Partnering with agencies to design, improve, and implement key management tools
Through this work, we help King County track progress, improve performance, and deliver meaningful outcomes for the communities we serve.
