How to quash a warrant

Note that your warrant will remain outstanding until it is quashed by a judge.

You have the right to be represented by an attorney during your warrant quash hearing.

  • Your attorney can request a warrant quash hearing for you.

If you are not currently represented by an attorney in your case:

If you do not have an attorney, you can go to any King County District Court courthouse location or call 206-205-9200 to find out if you are able to sign up for a bench warrant quash hearing. In some limited cases, you may be able to quash the warrant just by going to the clerk’s office at any King County District Court courthouse location.

  • Your bench warrant quash hearing will be scheduled at the same courthouse where your case was filed.
  • The Court will endeavor to schedule your bench warrant quash hearing on the soonest possible date after you make your request.
