NOTICE OF VACANCY OF POSITIONS NO. 1 AND NO. 2 OF KING COUNTY FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT NO. 47

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that the Board of Commissioners of King County Fire Protection District No. 47 has two vacancies on its three-member Board.

In such a situation and in accordance with RCW 42.12.070, the King County Council shall appoint a qualified person or persons until the Board has two members.

Qualifying persons are invited to apply for the vacancy.  To be considered qualified for the position, persons must be registered to vote and reside in the District. To apply for the position, qualified persons must submit a resume or short biographical statement, and a statement of interest to King County by emailing the required materials to RegionalAffairs@kingcounty.gov by no later than close of business on January 21, 2025.  The King County Council will consider the applicants and make an appointment of a qualified person, who shall take office immediately upon being sworn in and posting any necessary bond.
