Crystal Goodwin and Carrol Stripling Appointed as District 7 Representatives

The King County Council unanimously approved Councilmember Pete von Reichbauer’s recommendation of the appointment of two District 7 residents: Crystal Goodwin to the King County Board for Developmental Disabilities and Carrol Stripling to the King County Veterans Advisory Board.

Crystal Goodwin, of Kent, works for the Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction as a Statewide Proficiency Initiative for Languages and Learning Liaison. She has significant experience in nonprofit leadership and advocacy, supporting individuals with mental illness and housing insecurity, as well as ensuring resources for students with special education needs. Crystal will serve the remainder of a three-year term ending on September 30, 2027.

Carrol Stripling, of Auburn, is a military veteran who is actively involved in various veteran organizations. She has previously served on the Veterans Committee of the VSHSL Advisory Board. Carrol will serve the remainder of a three-year term ending on April 30, 2028.
