Eligible WIC Participants can attend one of our Farmers Market events this summer to get WIC Summer Farmers Market Benefits added to their account. The full schedule of events is available below.

Benefits are available on a first come, first serve basis to active participants at least 1 year old. This is a one-time benefit each summer. Participants must bring their WIC Card, WIC QR Code, and ID to receive benefits at the market.

What WIC benefits can be used at Farmers Markets and Farm Stores?

Summer Farmers Market benefits

Farmers Market benefits are available during the summer only. This is a special one-time benefit that can be added to your WIC account once for the season (June 1 – October 31).

Eligible WIC participants can receive $30 of Farmers Market benefits, with a maximum of $90 per family.  Families who currently have Summer Farmers Market Benefits must use these special once-a-year benefits at approved Farmers Markets and Farm Stores before November 1st.

Monthly Fruit and Vegetable Benefits

AAll families with monthly Fruit and Vegetable Benefits can use the monthly fruit and vegetable benefits at approved Farmers Markets and Farm Stores year-round.

Is my family eligible?

Summer Farmers Market benefits are available to WIC participants who are at least one year old and actively enrolled in the WIC program.

Monthly Fruit and Vegetable benefits are available to WIC participants who are at least 9 months old and actively enrolled in the WIC program.

How do I shop at Farmers Markets and Farm Stores with my WIC Benefits?

To shop with WIC Benefits at the Farmers Market benefits, the family must:

  • Have an active WIC account
  • Have a WIC QR code
  • Have benefits labeled "Fruit and Veg - FMNP" or "All Fruit & Veg – WIC" in the family's WIC benefit balance
  • Shop at WIC-approved farmers markets and farm stores. Check the WICShopper app or the list of authorized farmers markets and farm stores for locations near you. 

A quick response (QR) code is a type of bar code that stores information and can be read by a digital device, like a smartphone. WIC Families can access their QR Code on the WICShopper App or on newer WIC Cards.

Save your WIC QR code

Save your WIC QR code multiple ways to make sure you have it when it's time to shop at your local WIC-approved farmers market or farm store. For example, you could:

  • Take a screenshot of the QR code to save on your phone.
  • E-mail a picture of the QR code screenshot to yourself.

What if I don't have a QR code or need a replacement?

  1. If you need help accessing your QR Code, please call 1-800-841-1410.
  2. Press option 1, then option 2 to reach a customer service representative.
