What we do

The Office of Performance, Strategy, and Budget (PSB) provides performance assessments, comprehensive planning, budgeting, and management for the County. PSB’s work is guided by best practices in financial stewardship and performance management, which includes enhancing accountability, transparency, and integrating strategic planning, business planning, resource allocation, and continuous improvement into a systematic approach throughout the County.

Mission and vision

Mission: We advance management systems and programs and conduct planning, analysis, and budgeting. We also advise decision makers to be an equitable, efficient, and effective government.

Vision: We transform county government operations to help King County be a community where everyone can thrive.

Internship program
