Public notices

When a jurisdiction places a measure on the ballot, members of the public are appointed to pro and con committees. These committees prepare statements either in favor of, or in opposition to, the ballot measure. These statements are published in the local Voters’ Pamphlet and help voters make informed decisions. 

 

If no committee is appointed by the jurisdiction, King County Elections can appoint committee members if any come forward. 

 

The following measures have appointed pro committees, but no one has come forward yet to join a con committee:

 

  • Bellevue School District No. 405, Proposition No. 1
  • Bellevue School District No. 405, Proposition No. 2
  • Enumclaw School District No. 216, Proposition No. 1
  • Enumclaw School District No. 216, Proposition No. 2
  • Federal Way School District No. 210, Proposition No. 1
  • Lake Washington School District No. 414, Proposition No. 1
  • Lake Washington School District No. 414, Proposition No. 2
  • Mercer Island School District No. 400, Proposition No. 1
  • Northshore School District No. 417, Proposition No. 1
  • Northshore School District No. 417, Proposition No. 2
  • Northshore School District No. 417, Proposition No. 3
  • Riverview School District No. 407, Proposition No. 1
  • Riverview School District No. 407, Proposition No. 2
  • Riverview School District No. 407, Proposition No. 3
  • Tahoma School District No. 409, Proposition No. 1
  • Tahoma School District No. 409, Proposition No. 2
  • Vashon School District No. 402, Proposition No. 1

 

Members of the committees will be responsible for:

  • Submitting a con statement, following all guidelines, to King County Elections by 5:00 p.m. on December 16.
  • Submitting a rebuttal statement, following all guidelines, to King County Elections by 5:00 p.m. on December 18.

 

If you want to be a member of one of the committees listed above, please email election.services@kingcounty.gov by 5:00 p.m. on Monday, December 15.
