With the first drop of election results showing the Veterans, Seniors & Human Services levy renewal passing with 69% of the vote, King County Executive Dow Constantine issued the following statement:
"King County’s veterans and seniors have contributed so much to our community, and since 2005 the Veterans, Seniors and Human Services Levy has helped people and families across the region.
"The levy invests in access to affordable housing, job training, employment services, emergency financial assistance, support for survivors of domestic violence, behavioral health treatment, and so much more.
"I am optimistic about the early results tonight and appreciate the voters’ support for continuing our commitment to the veterans, seniors and resilient communities here in King County."
