The Sammamish Plateau Diversion Project will build new wastewater infrastructure to serve the growing East Lake Sammamish area.
Project description
The project includes new underground pipes in the East Lake Sammamish area and upgrades to the York Pump Station near Redmond.
This project will help WTD to expand its services and meet future wastewater needs.

Saturday morning field survey work on July 25
Project crews are collecting survey data along East Lake Sammamish Parkway Northeast and Northeast Inglewood Hill Road. This information will help inform where the new pipe could be located within the project corridor and construction methods. To learn more about the project corridor, visit the project’s Online Open House and click on the “Project Corridor” tab.
Saturday survey work:
When: Morning of Saturday, July 25
Where: Along East Lake Sammamish Parkway Northeast, between Northeast 16th Street South to the intersection of Northeast Inglewood Hill Road (does not include the intersection)
What to expect:
- Work hours are from 6 to 9 a.m.
- Temporary traffic stoppage and minor delays
- Traffic signs, flaggers, and a truck with flashing lights
- Access to homes and Inglewood Parking lot will be maintained
- People on bikes will need to merge with traffic

This map shows the approximate survey area in the yellow box. The survey work is planned to take place on East Lake Sammamish Parkway Northeast between Northeast 16th Street and Northeast Inglewood Hill Road.
