King County's Energize program installs heat pumps and other clean technology in homes and small businesses in King County. Energize currently has three program offerings:

What is the Energize program?

King County's Energize Heat Pump Program installs heat pumps and other clean technology in homes in the North Highline and Skyway-West Hill unincorporated areas.

Income qualified residents may qualify for 100% cost-coverage and other residents may be eligible for other discounts. Heat pumps provide efficient electrical heating and cooling that save energy and can save on energy bills too!

In 2025, the Energize program will expand with funds from the Climate Commitment Act (CCA) to provide and install electric appliances, plumbing improvements, home energy audits, and weatherization and efficiency services in single-family homes and small businesses in King County.

Single Family Homeowners and Renters

Energize program eligibility

The Energize program is open to owners or renters of single-family homes or licensed family home child cares in specific geographies in King County. To see if your home is within the Energize community service area, please use the map tool below.

In order to apply for Energize, you must attend an Energize workshop.

Income Eligibility

In order to qualify for Energize, the combined income for all adults living in the home must be at or below the following amounts:

Is your address in a qualified Energize community service area?

Energize is supported with funding from Washington’s Climate Commitment Act (CCA).

The CCA supports Washington’s climate action efforts by putting cap-and-invest dollars to work reducing climate pollution, creating jobs, and improving public health.
