AED training
According to Washington state law, AED owners should ensure that reasonable AED and CPR training is provided to expected users of their device. Even if you don’t own an AED, learning how to provide CPR and use an AED helps everyone.
There are many resources for CPR and AED training in the community, including local fire departments, non-profit organizations, and private businesses. A quick internet search will provide a broad selection of resources in King County. Courses vary in course content, certification levels and price, providing many options for all levels of CPR/AED training needs.
When developing an AED and CPR training plan, organizations and companies should consider:
- Who in my organization should receive training?
- What level of training is necessary for the expected AED user at my location?
- What resources are available to help us meet and support our training needs and ongoing CPR/AED educational goals?
