Paid parking coming to the terminal October 1

King County International Airport-Boeing Field (KCIA) will begin charging for customer parking effective October 1, 2026. Electric vehicle (EV) charging fees will take effect separately, beginning September 1, 2026.

The introduction of paid parking at the terminal is part of the airport's long-term strategy to maintain and improve airport facilities, enhance customer services, and support ongoing infrastructure investments. Parking revenue will be utilized for the operation, maintenance, and future improvement of airport parking facilities and airport infrastructure.

For many years, customer parking at KCIA has been offered at no cost. As the airport continues to invest in its facilities, implementing a paid parking program will help ensure parking resources remain well maintained, accessible, and sustainable while aligning KCIA with parking practices at comparable airports.

"We appreciate the continued support of our customers and community as we invest in maintaining a safe, efficient, and reliable facility for all users," said David Decoteau, deputy director of the airport.

To support a smooth transition, the airport will install updated signage, customer payment information, and wayfinding throughout the parking areas. Additional information, including parking rates, payment options, and frequently asked questions, will be available on the airport's website at kingcounty.gov/airport before the program begins.

Customer Rates (Daily Parking)

• First Hour: Free
• Hourly Rate: $3.00 per hour after the first hour and any portion thereof
• Daily Maximum: $15.00
• Weekly Maximum: $100.00

Eligible Tenant Employee Parking (Monthly Parking)

• Monthly Parking Permit: $100.00 per eligible employee
