Taxiway A11 Rehabilitation
The Taxiway A11 repaving project will replace the current pavement in this area that is failing and replace it with new pavement, meeting the current design standards for the aircraft that use the A11 interstation. The project will also install new LED taxiway lighting and elevated and in-pavement runway guard lights (RGLs). This will increase safety during dark and low visibility conditions.
Construction work will begin on August 4, 2025 and is expected to run through early October 2025.
Impacts
- Complete closure of Taxiway A11 from the southern edge of A10 through A11
- The Runway 32L glideslope signal will be out of service during construction
- A localizer-only approach will be available for north flow approaches
- Possible NOTAMs indicating the 32L Runway Visual Range Sensor #2 is out of service due to dust generated near the work site
Please check NOTAMs for the most up-to-date airfield information. If you have any questions, please call Airport Operations at 206-296-7334 or email AirportOps@kingcounty.gov.
