Family Law hearings, settlements, and trials

Depending on the nature of your Family Law case, you may need a hearing, trial, or settlement.

Hearings

Many Family Law hearings are still being heard through only Zoom. Follow our directions to schedule your motion and join your virtual hearing.

Trials

A Family Law trial is about divorce, legal separation, parenting plans, relocation, or child support. The two types of trials are called an Informal Family Law Trial (IFLT) and a Traditional Trial.

Settlement conferences

If your case requires mediation, a settlement conference, or an outside mediation/dispute resolution option can fulfill this requirement. Our Settlement Conference Program helps low-income families resolve cases without a trial.
