NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Metropolitan King County Council (the Council) held a public hearing on Tuesday, November 26, 2024, beginning at 1:30 p.m. to consider adoption of Proposed Ordinance 2024-0254 (Ordinance 19865), an ordinance extending an existing moratorium relating to wineries, breweries, and distilleries. The Council adopted this Ordinance at the Tuesday, November 26, 2024, meeting.

SUMMARY:

The Ordinance extends an existing moratorium by six months, prohibiting the acceptance of applications for the establishment of new or expansion of existing wineries, breweries, distilleries, and remote tasting rooms, as primary or accessory uses or as home occupations or home industries; and prohibiting temporary use permits for wineries, breweries, distilleries, and remote tasting rooms.
