The King County Council approved the appointment of Patrick Osby to the Civil Rights Commission. Mr. Osby resides in King County Council District Seven and was nominated by Councilmember Pete von Reichbauer.“Patrick brings with him a wide array of knowledge, skills, and experiences,” said Councilmember Pete von Reichbauer. “I commend him for his willingness to serve and learn more about the rights of individuals in our region. He will bring a new perspective to the commission, which is always valuable.”
The King County Civil Rights Commission takes a strong leadership role in raising community awareness and involvement on civil rights issues and advises the King County Executive and County Council on matters related to the County's civil rights programs. The Commission works in collaboration with a variety of groups including community, business, civic, and religious organizations.
