Statement on the passing of former interim King County Assessor Rich Medved

Metropolitan King County Council Chair Dow Constantine issued the following statement regarding the death early this morning of Rich Medved, former interim King County Assessor. Mr. Medved suffered a stroke on July 14:

“I am deeply saddened by the death of Rich Medved. Rich served the people of King County with distinction for many years as Chief Deputy Assessor under former Assessor Scott Noble, and was a steadying force within the office when he took over as interim assessor earlier this year. Rich was well-liked within the Assessor’s Office and throughout county government and he will be greatly missed. Rich and his family are in our thoughts and prayers at this very difficult time.”
