Metropolitan King County Councilmember Jan Drago today released this statement on the approval of King County’s interlocal agreement with the city of Burien that completes the city’s annexation of a portion of unincorporated King County:“Getting to the finish line on this annexation took a lot of effort by our friends at the city of Burien, and by a number of dedicated, hard-working staff here at King County. Many thanks go to the elected officials, county and city staff members, and the countless residents that helped make this transition smooth and successful.
“The North Highline area is a special place with incredible residents that are active and engaged in their community. I believe joining the city of Burien will give the community the flexibility, resources and services they need to continue to be a great place to live and work.”
