The Metropolitan King County Council will hold a public hearing Monday, June 14, to take public testimony on the proposal by County Executive Dow Constantine to create a collaborative new approach for the provision of animal services.

The meeting will also be carried LIVE on King County TV, Comcast and Broadstripe Cable channel 22, and streaming online.

In April, the County Executive introduced a proposal developed by a joint cities-county work group to restructure the County’s current animal care and control system into a regional model involving the County, cities and private organizations. The Council will hold its first public hearing on the three separate ordinances that comprise the proposed plan.
