Summary
Story
The first release of primary election results shows 66 percent of voters approving King County Proposition No. 1, the Veterans and Human Services Levy. Metropolitan King County Councilmember Bob Ferguson, who sponsored both the original Veterans and Human Services Levy and the renewal proposal, released this statement:“King County voters again demonstrated their support for providing critical services for our veterans and others in need.
“The Veterans and Human Services Levy is a small investment with a huge impact. It provides essential services that help our veterans and strengthen our families, from employment training and housing to PTSD counseling.
“The Levy renewal was unanimously supported by the King County Council and received broad backing from local jurisdictions and organizations throughout King County. This wide support is the direct result of the current levy’s success in improving the lives of veterans, their families, and others across King County.
“I am grateful that the people of King County have generously shown their willingness to continue to serve those who have valiantly served our nation.”
