“Governor Rosellini leaves behind a remarkable legacy of accomplishments for Washington State. As the husband of a long-time community college employee, I particularly appreciate his championing of higher education and our community college system.

“One of the last times I saw him was at a 2011 St. Patrick’s Day event celebrating the working men and women of Washington State. He had a twinkle in his eye, a smile on his face, and a keen interest in the local political scene.

“I will miss him.”
