Council Budget Committee to hold three special meetings on 2012 King County Budget

The Chair of the Metropolitan King County Council’s Budget Leadership Team today announced that the Council’s Budget Committee will host three evening meetings to hear from the public on the County Executive’s proposed 2012 King County Budget.“King County Council must adopt a balanced budget for 2012 that protects the public and preserves the most critical functions of County government,” said Councilmember Julia Patterson, Chair of the Council’s Budget and Fiscal Management Committee. “These public hearings are an opportunity for the residents of King County to make their voices heard on the issues that matter most to them.”
Hosted by Councilmember Patterson, who will be joined on the Budget Leadership Team by Councilmembers Kathy Lambert, Jane Hague and Joe McDermott, the three public hearings will be held:
• Thursday, October 13- Pacific Cascade Middle School, 24635 SE Issaquah Fall City Rd, Issaquah
• Wednesday, October 19 - Maleng Regional Justice Center, Courtroom 3F, 401 4th Avenue North, Kent
• Tuesday, October 25 – King County Courthouse, County Council Chambers, 10th Flr, 516 Third Avenue, Seattle
