Dunn to Chair King County Flood Control District

Metropolitan King County Councilmember Reagan Dunn was unanimously elected Chair of the King County Flood Control District at the District’s February 26 meeting.The King County Flood Control District is a special purpose government created to provide funding and policy oversight for flood protection projects and programs in King County. The Flood Control District's Board is composed of the members of the King County Council.
As part of the King County Council’s annual reorganization, Dunn will also serve in other key positions on the Council’s standing Committees.
Dunn will be the Vice Chair of the Council’s Transportation, Economy and Environment Committee (TrEE). He was also appointed to the Government Accountability, Oversight & Financial Performance (GAO) Committee as well as the Regional Water Committee and will serve as an alternate on the Regional Transit Committee.
“Serving on these committees is a very important part of representing the constituents of District 9,” Dunn said. “I take this responsibility very seriously and I look forward to a productive year finding solutions to the issues facing King County.”
