Story
Metropolitan King County Councilmember Reagan Dunn today thanked the Washington state Senate for providing funds in the adopted 2014-16 biennial budget that will allow the Tahoma School District to purchase surplus property within the District from King County:“I would like to thank the Legislature for the Capital appropriation which was included in the final budget. This appropriation will aid in the purchase from King County of property inside the Tahoma School District. This property will be used in the future to potentially site a new high school to serve the Tahoma School District and ease overcrowding.
“Last May, I sent a letter to members of the State Senate urging them to support an appropriation benefitting the Tahoma School District which resides inside my Council District.
“This is win-win project for all involved and I look forward to working with the school district and the city of Maple Valley to see this project get underway.”
