The “Breakfast for Kids” is the annual fund-raiser for the Federal Way and Auburn branch of the King County Boys and Girls Club.
The 2018 breakfast, held at Emerald Downs, raises funds to support the important services the Boys and Girls Club provides to youth. This year’s event raised a record-breaking total, bringing in more than $71,470 for South King County Youth.
The keynote speaker for this year’s breakfast was University of Washington Athletic Director Jen Cohen.
King County Councilmember Pete von Reichbauer served as the Honorary Chair, and presented Ron Crockett, founder of Emerald Downs, with an official recognition signed by von Reichbauer and the Mayors of South King County cities for a lifetime of achievement and philanthropy.
