This year’s annual Federal Way “Breakfast for Kids” was held at the Ex3 Ron Sandwith Teen Center in Federal Way. Tod Leiweke, President and CEO of NHL Seattle joined this year’s breakfast as the keynote speaker to discuss the importance of resiliency in the face of challenges and never losing sight of your dreams.

This year’s annual Federal Way “Breakfast for Kids” was held at the Ex3 Ron Sandwith Teen Center in Federal Way. Tod Leiweke, President and CEO of NHL Seattle joined this year’s breakfast as the keynote speaker to discuss the importance of resiliency in the face of challenges and never losing sight of your dreams. 

During his presentation, Leiweke offered an internship to Federal Way Youth of the Year, Jaylen Green, a graduate of Todd Beamer High School, after he was moved by Jaylen’s personal story and commitment to overcoming adversity.

King County Councilmember Pete von Reichbauer also hosted tables of Federal Way area student-athletes from Decatur High School, Federal Way High School, Thomas Jefferson High School, and Todd Beamer High School.

Prior to his current position, Leiweke held a variety of roles in the sports industry, including as President of the Seattle Seahawks, President of the Seattle Sounders, President of the Portland Trailblazers, and President of the Tampa Bay Lightning, among others.
