King County Council Chair Claudia Balducci released the following statement Tuesday in response to news reports of a draft decision from the U.S. Supreme Court that would overturn Roe v. Wade:

“Women’s autonomy and their ability to make personal decisions about their lives must be protected. The impending U.S. Supreme Court decision would fly in the face of this bedrock principle. I join women and men from across the country in calling for action to fight against this historic rollback of basic human rights.”
