  Accepted at hazardous waste collection sites

Accepted bulbs include compact fluorescent (CFL) bulbs, neon lights, ultraviolet lamps, and Green Fluorescent bulbs and tubes. 

  • We will accept fluorescent bulbs until we have reached capacity for the day. We may refuse bulbs when we have reached our storage capacity limit.
  • Limit of 15 fluorescent light tubes and lamps per vehicle, per visit. Click here for more information.
  • Limit of 2 high-intensity discharge (HID) lamps per vehicle, per visit.

Fluorescent lights can also be taken to an authorized LightRecycle Washington collection site. Find a LightRecycle location near you.

For large quantities of fluorescent bulbs, tubes, or lamps, contact EcoLights.   

Put broken bulbs in a plastic bag or closed container and dispose of as hazardous waste.

  • All containers must be 5 gallons or less
  • Total waste limit: 50 gallons per trip
