Regional workforce development strategy
The Office of Economic Opportunity and Creative Economy (OEOCE) does not directly provide workforce development services. Other King County agencies, such as the Department of Community and Human Services, provide targeted workforce services for seniors and youth. OEOECE does fund and partner with other King County agencies and external organizations to provide these services.
OEOCE’s primary role in workforce development is to staff and help advise the King County Executive on their role as the Chief Local Elected Official on the Workforce Development Council – Seattle/King County’s board.
