Story
“A big thank-you to Interior Secretary Sally Jewell for officially designating the Snoqualmie Valley and Mount Si as National Recreation Trails. These natural gems merit the honor.
“The Snoqualmie Valley Trail, which hugs parts of the Snoqualmie River, offers sweeping views of rich farmland and the larger valley. It’s a main artery of King County’s award-winning, 185-mile regional trail system. We look forward to the day when this national treasure links to even more communities, with planning underway for a Lake to Sound Trail and a trail within the Eastside Rail Corridor.
“There’s no better way to celebrate Saturday’s National Trails Day than to hike one of the best trails in the United States without leaving King County.”
