"Unions have been – and will continue to be – vital partners in how we provide services to our 2.1 million residents. I strongly support the rights of employees to organize and bargain collectively, and I appreciate the value that unions bring to their members. The Supreme Court’s decision makes it difficult for unions to provide the highest level of representation to their members, but King County will continue to ensure that our strong partnership thrives for the benefit of our employees, residents, and region."
