The King County Prosecutor has been committed to written filing and disposition standards (FADS) since 1975. The FADS underscore the Prosecutor’s commitment to prosecutorial standards to control the exercise of discretionary power in making filing and disposition decisions in criminal cases.

These standards are intended solely for the guidance of King County deputy prosecutors. They are not intended to, do not, and may not be relied upon to create a right or benefit enforceable at law by a party in litigation with the county or state.
