What we do
The Districting Committee redraws King County Council Districts using Census data. After each Census, district boundaries shift to reflect changes in population distribution. This is required by law.
The most recent Census was in 2020. Redistricting occurred in 2021. The next Census is in 2030 so redistricting will follow in 2031.
