Metropolitan King County Councilmember Kathy Lambert visited the Issaquah City Council on Monday to give an update on county business and to present grants from King County to the Issaquah Parks Department for improvements to the Tibbetts Valley Park Skate Park and the Highlands Central Park youth ballfields and shelter.
This funding is from a one-time bonding of revenue from car rental taxes that originally went to the building of King County’s sports stadiums. Part of that revenue was dedicated to Youth Sports Facilities Grants in 2016.
”I was very pleased to announce these grants for youth sports in Issaquah-area parks”, said Councilmember Lambert. “I know that the money will be used wisely to improve the health and enjoyment of kids and families in beautiful Issaquah.”
