The Department of Community and Human Services (DCHS) is responsible for delivering, directly or through grant contracts, a wide variety of housing and human services for King County’s most vulnerable residents. DCHS contracts out about 80% of its annual budget to others for the performance of services to the community.
DCHS is committed to helping our nonprofit partners in today’s complex and changing nonprofit and human services climate by providing technical and financial assistance, grant application, capacity-building, and resources.
