How to protest a solicitation

A protest is a formal process that allows businesses to challenge the terms, conditions, or outcomes of King County's procurement activities. This process ensures fairness and transparency by enabling businesses to address perceived errors.

Any business that has submitted a bid or proposal and believes an error has occurred can file a protest. Protests must be submitted in accordance with King County's Protest and Appeals Procedures. For projects with federal funds, suppliers may also utilize the Federal Protest Appeal Procedure.
