Community involvement opportunities
King County International Airport-Boeing Field (KCIA) is a part of multiple vibrant communities surrounding the airport, including neighborhoods like Georgetown, Beacon Hill, South Park, and Allentown, as well as culturally and economically diverse communities.
As such a large part of these neighborhoods, we are looking to include community members in the planning and design of projects at the airport. Opportunities will be listed below as they are available. You can also contact us at KCIACommunityOutreach@kingcounty.gov. To be informed of future projects that will have community working groups, sign up here.

Take a tour of KCIA!
KCIA is one of the busiest non-hub airports in the nation. We offer public tours by appointment:
- Monday through Friday between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m.
- Duration: About 90 minutes
- Groups are limited to 25 participants
During the tour, you’ll visit different sites around the airport and see daily operations up close while gaining a new appreciation for the people and technology that keep the airport running smoothly. Tours may be subject to change or cancellation based on operational requirements at the airport.
For more information or to book your tour, contact KCIACommunityOutreach@kingcounty.gov.
Invite us!
Along with hosting our own community meetings, we also welcome the opportunity to attend your gatherings to talk about what's happening at the airport. Contact us at KCIACommunityOutreach@kingcounty.gov or call 206-296-7380 to make a request.
