Service Change
Effective 08/30/2025 through 03/27/2026
Starting August 30, King County Metro will increase and update bus service, including launching five new routes and revising other routes on the Eastside to better serve communities and Sound Transit’s Link 2 Line stations. A new Metro Flex on-demand pilot service also will launch in the Overlake area of Bellevue.
Schedules will be updated for Route 106 supported by the Seattle Transit Measure.* Thirty trips will be added so buses arrive every 15 minutes from 6 am to 7 pm on weekends. Service in the 5 am hour on weekends will be increased to match the weekday schedule.
New orange timetables are available on buses, at transit centers and at other popular locations. The Metro adult bus fare will increase by $0.25 on September 1, 2025, aligning with Sound Transit’s updated $3.00 flat fare for Link light rail and Express bus service. Metro’s free and reduced bus fares – including for riders with disabilities, riders with lower incomes, seniors and youth – will remain unchanged.
