Summary
To address elevated blood lead levels (eBLL) in children under 15 years old in King County, Public Health – Seattle & King County (PHSKC) aims to enhance its programmatic efforts by providing culturally competent support through the engagement of a Community Health Advocate (CHA). This initiative seeks to reduce barriers to care, improve engagement with disproportionately affected communities, and promote health equity by mitigating the impacts of lead exposure.

Public Health — Seattle & King County conducted two pre-Application conferences for this RFA on Dec. 19, 2024 and Jan. 8, 2025.
