Summary

To address elevated blood lead levels (eBLL) in children under 15 years old in King County, Public Health – Seattle & King County (PHSKC) aims to enhance its programmatic efforts by providing culturally competent support through the engagement of a Community Health Advocate (CHA). This initiative seeks to reduce barriers to care, improve engagement with disproportionately affected communities, and promote health equity by mitigating the impacts of lead exposure.

Pre-application conference

Public Health — Seattle & King County conducted two pre-Application conferences for this RFA on Dec. 19, 2024 and Jan. 8, 2025. These conferences were an opportunity for interested organizations to hear more about the program and to ask questions about the program and/or the application process. Questions and answers from the conferences are available in Addendum 1 linked above.
