Reservation system changing in 2024

We're thrilled to announce updates to our Motor Pool Dispatch (MPD) reservation technology! Our current vehicle reservation system, INVERS, is nearing its end of life and will be retired by the end of 2024. To continue meeting your transportation needs efficiently, the Fleet Services team is partnering with the vendor to bring you an updated and more reliable reservation technology called WeGo. This new system will address many of the challenges you face, including those related to remote vehicles.

Transitioning to WeGo

In the coming months, all active INVERS users will be transitioned to the new reservation system. Here's what you need to know.

Target Transition Dates: You'll receive a specific date for your transition, along with times to sign up for training.

Active Users: If you've used MPD vehicles at any time since October 2023, you're considered an active user. If you haven't used a Motor Pool vehicle since then, you'll get instructions on how to sign up to use WeGo when you need to in the future.

What to Expect

  1. Phased Transition to WeGo
Users will be grouped by agency, and you'll be notified when it's your group's turn to transition.
Live virtual trainings will be held in July and August to demonstrate the new process and answer questions.
On-demand training will be available via NeoGov starting in the fall. Training must be completed to access the new system.
  2. Enhanced User Support
Training and Resources: You'll have access to live virtual training sessions, how-to guides (both electronic and in vehicle hard copy), and instructional videos.
Ongoing Assistance: Fleet Services will provide a comprehensive FAQ and troubleshooting guide to help you navigate the new system smoothly.
Electric Vehicle (EV) Charging Information: Locations of EV charging stations for Motor Pool EVs will be readily available.
Emergency Support: Detailed fleet emergency contact information and procedures will be provided for your safety and convenience.
  3. New User Registration
New MPD users will be registered only in the new WeGo system starting in mid-July.
MPD vehicles will be transitioned from the current INVERS system to WeGo. During this period, vehicle availability might be limited. If you need a vehicle and can't find one, please contact the Fleet Motor Pool Dispatch Team at MotorPool.Dispatch@kingcounty.gov or 206-477-3880.

For more information about the transition to WeGo, read the story in DES Express.

We aim to complete the transition for all current customers by October 2024. Thank you for your patience as we make this important transition to better serve you. If you have questions or comments, please reach out to us. We look forward to assisting you with your Motor Pool Dispatch needs!
